Championship finale at Brands Hatch

This weekend Fortec took to the Kent circuit of Brands Hatch to contest the final three rounds of the MSA Formula Championship.

The first race of the weekend was not as successful as hoped with both James Pull and Josh Smith losing places throughout the race duration. Pull, having started in sixth, clashed with Sowery in the sixth lap of the race, causing him to lose a number of places. Four laps later, in lap ten, Smith slipped to the tail of the field before crossing the line in fourteenth. Pull gained a top ten finish in tenth.

In the penultimate round of the MSA Formula championship, the Fortec duo of Smith and Pull were able to make progress with Smith gaining two places while Pull was able to move up a position during the race. Due to lengthy pre-event track repairs, the race got underway later than planned resulting in badly fading light. Despite this, Pull, having started in tenth, was able to gain a place to finish in ninth while Smith, starting further back in fourteenth, progressed to finish two places ahead in twelfth.

Despite showing great pace all weekend, Pull retained his position, finishing his final race of the season in sixth. Smith suffered an unfortunate end to the season after Reddy made contact on the exit of Graham Hill Bend in the fifth lap of the race. As a result, Smith was forced to make a visit to the pits before exiting at the back of the grid. Due to the incident, Smith crossed the line in nineteenth.
