08 Sep John Bryant-Meisner joins Fortec FIA F3 squad
Fortec Motorsports are pleased to announce John Bryant-Meisner is to make his FIA Formula 3 European Championship debut with the team. The 18-year-old Swede has signed a deal to race in the final two rounds of the 2013 campaign.
Bryant-Meisner has competed in the lower-level ATS Formula 3 Cup – based in Germany – so far this year, and will fulfill his commitments with the Performance Racing squad over the remaining part of the season before joining the FIA Formula 3 European Championship fraternity for its back-to-back events at Vallelunga (Italy) and Hockenheim (Germany) in October.
Bryant-Meisner will line up alongside Fortec’s Félix Serrallés and Pipo Derani as he joins fellow Swedish National Motor Racing Team member Felix Rosenqvist on the ultra-competitive grid.
Commenting on joining the team John Bryant-Meisner said:
“Joining Fortec Motorsports for the final two rounds of the FIA Formula 3 European Championship marks a fantastic opportunity for me.
“I already get along very well with the team, and they are one of the main players on the junior single- seater arena. The FIA Formula 3 European Championship is extremely competitive – I’m well aware of that – and this will undoubtedly be the greatest challenge of my career so far. I have learned a lot with Performance Racing in the ATS Formula 3 Cup this year, so hopefully I’ll be able to do a solid job. I want to continue to gain as much experience as possible, and this puts me in a great position to do so. I’m really looking forward to driving the F312 chassis and to compete against the fastest drivers in Formula 3.”
Andy Scott, Team Manager, added: “We are really happy to have John in the team, joining us before the mid season test gives him a great opportunity to get used to the car before the Vallelunga event.”
Bryant-Meisner’s first outing with Fortec Motorsports will take place at this week’s official FIA Formula 3 European Championship test at Hockenheim.
